One of the highlights of COV Wayzata lies in its menu, which features a delightful fusion of wood-fired entrees, specialty sushi rolls, and classic American sandwiches. For seafood lovers, the Twin Lobster Tail served with old bay lemon butter is a must-try, while the Berkshire Pork Chop with peach and bacon succotash brings a burst of flavor to the plate.
As a food reviewer, I was particularly impressed with the unique specialty sushi rolls. The Anchorage, a mix of spicy salmon, king crab, and various other fresh ingredients, offers a flavor profile that dances on your palate. Each roll is artistically presented, mirroring the care that the chefs put into their craft. The Wayzata Roll, highlighted by tender tuna, shrimp, and creamy avocado, is a local favorite worth indulging in.
COV Wayzata seamlessly blends quality dining with a relaxing atmosphere. Guests like Ell Waters praise the delightful Sunday brunch, starting with a complimentary caramel roll that melts in your mouth, while Irina Karpitskaya expresses her love for the popovers served with honey butter, stating they are 'super delicious' and quite the generous portion. It's not just about the food here; the atmosphere elevates the dining experience, making every meal memorable.
Moreover, the service at COV Wayzata has received glowing remarks from customers. Evgenii Pershin noted the efficient service, which complements the tasty offerings. Happy hour specials enhance the value of your dining experience, as noted by Troy Howard, suggesting that the best time to visit may be during those select hours.

Whether you're at the patio, enjoying the refreshing breeze, or seated within the elegantly designed interior, you'll find yourself wishing for just one more bite of those fantastic dishes!
Beautiful setting on the gorgeous lakeside. Patio seating is delightful amongst live trees and floral arranged pots. We arrived around 10:30am and got in with no problem. Sunday brunch was delicious starting with the free caramel roll— amazingly warm and flavorful. Dogs welcome on the patio. Arrive by boat as there is dockage and ability to pay by app. Take a stroll on the lakeside boardwalk afterwards.
Service fast and good. Food testy, but wings were a little bit row. This place is definitely recommended for a visit.
They actually have a nice happy hour. The food is decent, but I think it's a little overpriced. Happy hour is the best time to go. It is nice to be able to sit next to the water also.
All around Excellence. Everyone got something different and enjoyed it. I enjoyed one of my favorite ways (not to mention hard to come by) of Calamari. Large Sliced Squid Steaks, tenderized, breaded and fried till Golden - Like the Chicken Tenders of the Sea. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I've had a restaurant in a while. The passenger on the plane recommended this place and everyone I came across during my week in Minneapolis kept agreeing it was one of the best spots to go to. They were all right!
I really love the decor here esp during holidays. Great atmosphere and food. Good service. Love their Wayzata roll and was really surprised with popovers! Both are super delicious. Popovers are huge and come with honey butter! Great place.
Came to eat lunch with my family and it went great! Been here multiple times and every time everything is good. Had a chicken sandwich and it was really juicy. In house ranch is a must try. Sushi and burgers were delicious. The only thing is we had party of 5 people and our waitress was trying to talk to us on the other side of the table which made it hard to hear when she could just walk to the other side of the table.
This was my first time in Minnesota, and I’m so glad I chose this restaurant for dinner—it was a great experience! I ordered the New York steak and a kale salad, and both were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The kale salad came with a delightful surprise—crispy goat cheese balls—which added a unique and delicious twist. What truly elevated the evening was the stunning view by the lake. Dining with that peaceful lakeside backdrop made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable experience and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
We went for Happy Hour on a sunny hot day and it felt like a tiny vacation. The cocktails perfectly refreshing. I had White Sangria and loved it. All of the appetizers that we ordered were delicious and nicely presented. We had the spicy tuna roll, oysters on the half shell crab cake sliders and calamari fries. The crab cake sliders were particularly notable because they were so fresh. The service was friendly and managed to take care of many customers without seeming frazzled. The view of the lake past the patio tipped the scale for me. I will be back.
